A webpage URL is different from a direct MP4, M3U8 or MPD media URL.

Can I play a video directly from a URL?
Yes. Paste a public direct media link or supported streaming URL, choose the source type if needed, and press Play video. The remote server must allow browser playback and cross-origin requests.
Which video and audio formats are supported?
The player supports common browser-compatible formats such as MP4, WebM, Ogg, MOV or M4V where supported, MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC, HLS M3U8 and MPEG-DASH MPD. Actual codec support depends on your browser and device.
Are local video files uploaded to a server?
No. A local file selected from your device is opened with a temporary browser URL and is not uploaded by this player. The file stops being available when the page is closed or cleared.
Can I play YouTube and other social video links?
Yes, public embeddable links from supported providers such as YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitch, X, Streamable, Google Drive and Loom can open in their official web players.
Why does a video link fail to play?
A link may be private, expired, DRM-protected, blocked from embedding, served without CORS permission, use an unsupported codec or point to a webpage instead of a direct media file. Try a public HTTPS link or open the original source.
Can I add subtitles to a video?
Yes. Load a direct or local video, open the Subtitles tab and choose a VTT or SRT file. SRT captions are converted locally in your browser for playback.

Online Video Player is a browser-based media tool that can be used without creating an account.
Local files
Files selected from your device are opened with a temporary browser URL. They are not uploaded by this tool. The temporary reference is removed when you clear or change the source, or close the page.
Remote media and third-party services
When you play a remote link or social embed, your browser connects directly to that media host or provider. It may receive technical information and use cookies under its own privacy policy. Video.js assets are loaded from jsDelivr only when compatible direct or adaptive media is used.
Data on your device
The theme stores only your light or dark display preference in local storage. A shared player link can include the media URL in its address fragment. Do not enter or share private, personal, password-protected, expiring or signed media links.
Blogger or Google, and any analytics or advertising services enabled by the site owner, may process data under their own policies.
